How do I get a copy of a photograph from an event I attended?

Ordering is easy, select the image reference and email us with your request, you will then receive an email requesting who to send the photo to

and where and also payment options.

Once payment is received your photo is generally printed the next day, mounted and shipped by first class post.

Photographs can also be delivered personally to your place of work where several orders can be distributed .

Can I have the image e-mailed to me?

We are happy to email you a copy of a personal image royalty free.

You can then print off a few copies for yourself at home or email a copy to friends and family, this is assuming the image is for personal use and

not for commercial publication.

E-Mailed files cost £10. for individuals or couples and £15 for group photographs.

How long does it take?

Printed photographs are generally printed , checked , mounted and shipped within 2 days of receiving payment.

Emailed files are sent generally as soon as payment is received.

Please allow extra time during the normal public holidays.

Your order will not be processed until you have received and email response to your enquiry and any extended period of time that we are unable

to process your order due to holidays will be anounced in advance on this site

How do I pay for an image?

If you paid for your photograph at the event your order will be processed automatically.

You will receive how to pay information when you receive an email response from your enquiry.

We accept paypal and cheque, most people use paypal and we prefer this ,it is a fast ,secure convenient way to pay.

If you do not wish to use paypal then we are happy to accept a cheque.

Payment must be received before any photograph ordered is printed or emailed.

This is unconditional and avoids any potential embarrassment of occasional

over orders on the evening or at the event

Why do you not take credit cards?

Credit cards cost money to process and although the internet is very secure in many ways we prefer to use paypal.

This protects your identity and security and we don`t have to worry about passing expensive secure hosting and shop front facilities on to you the customer.

The current system works well and most customers seem very happy with it.

This is however constantly under review and may change in the future.

We saw you at a recent Ball and were impressed with your professionalism , we have a corporate day followed by a black tie dinner later this summer

and would be interested in having the event photographed, how do we book you and what do you charge?

We would be delighted to attend, most of our business is based on recommendation.

We may make a small attendance charge to attend in the case of events with less than 150 guests in attendance.

Events further than 20 miles away would also incur a charge. However most fundraising events are attended free of charge in the Cardiff area

and a percentage of the sale of photographs is donated to the charity.

To check availability click here and please bear in mind that certain times of the year are busier than others, ie: Christmas, New Year, Valentine,

Mid-Summer, Halloween etc.

I have seen a photograph of myself on your website which I would prefer was not on the internet for personal reasons, are you able to remove the image?

Your privacy is extremely important to us and if for any any reason whatsoever you wish to have an image removed from the website simply email us or

phone the principal on 07979 361520 and the image will be removed as soon as is possible without question.

Most but not all of the events hosted on this site are password protected and can not be viewed by anyone other than those in attendance at the event.

This website is very deliberately not searchable by search engines and is only accesible by invitation or typing in the address in google,

for example, or the address bar. We often photograph events where celebrities, politicians, dignitaries are guests and discretion and privacy are paramount.

We pride ourselves in this and do not share any personal information with any third parties.

What percentage of the sale of a photograph goes to charity?

In the case of charity balls or fundraising events a percentage of the sale of any photograph may be donated back to the charity by prior arrangement,

this is a great way to raise additional funds at an event. . This can be as much as 20%

I would like to use one of your photographs on my company website and also for our annual report can I do this , or is there any copyright issues.

If a photograph is to be reproduced in any way then the appropriate commercial fee must be paid for that image to be reproduced.

This could cost as little as £25 depending on the level of intended usage. All situations are different and more often than not we are happy for you to

include an image on your website with nothing more than an acknowledgement from ourselves. Please contact us if in doubt.

Who owns the copyright to photographs?

We get asked this all the time,

Under law, it is the photographer who will own copyright on any photos he/she has taken, with the following exceptions:

  • · · If the photographer is an employee of the company the photos are taken for, or is an employee of a company instructed to take the photos,
  • the photographer will be acting on behalf of his/her employer, and the company the photographer works for will own the copyright.
  • · · If there is an agreement that assigns copyright to another party.
  • In all other cases, the photographer will retain the copyright, if the photographer has been paid for his work, the payment will be for the photographer’s time
  • and typically an allocated number of prints. The copyright to the photos will remain with the photographer, and therefore any reproduction
  • without permission would be an infringement of copyright.

Examples:

  • · · If Bill Smith asks Peter Jones the photographer to photograph his wedding. Peter Jones will normally provide a single copy of the prints as part of the fee,
  • but any additional prints Bill or his family and friend want must be ordered via Peter as he is the copyright owner and controls who can copy his work.
  • · · If Bill Smith engages the services of XYZ-Photos for the same job, and Peter is an employee of XYZ-Photo who instruct Peter to take the photos,
  • XYZ-Photos will be the copyright owner and control how they are used.

  • We would like a photograph of our fundraising event to go in the paper , can you do this?

Of course we can, if an event is newsworthy we are happy to supply photos to the press without charge, this is often the case with charity events
